A directory is only useful if it’s true. We would rather have thinner coverage in a region than publish a listing we can’t back with a real public source.

We tell readers exactly where our data comes from, how our content is produced, and what role AI tools play in our process (see our AI Usage Policy).

Respect for the Veterinary Profession

Veterinary professionals do important, often difficult work. Our directory aims to represent that work accurately — never inflating counts, never showing an inactive or lapsed license as if it were current.

Every design decision — from how we filter search results to how we write educational content — starts from the question: does this genuinely help someone trying to care for their pet?

We’re expanding our directory country by country and state by state, always following the same rule: real official data first. If we don’t have coverage for your region yet, it’s because we haven’t found (or verified) a real public source for it — not because we chose not to include it.
