Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
About Our Directory
Where does your veterinary licensing data come from?
Directly from official government sources — state professional licensing boards (such as Illinois’ IDFPR and Delaware’s Division of Professional Regulation) and international regulators (such as Australia’s ACT Register of Veterinary Practitioners and Premises). We never invent or estimate a listing.
How often is the directory updated?
We refresh our data periodically as new government datasets become available. Because licensing boards update their own records on their own schedule, there can be a gap between a real-world change (e.g., a license renewal) and when it’s reflected on our site — always verify directly with the licensing board for anything time-sensitive.
Why isn’t my city or country covered yet?
We only publish listings backed by a real, public data source. We’re continually researching new government registers to expand coverage — if you know of an official veterinary licensing data source we should look into, let us know.
A listing shows outdated or incorrect information — what do I do?
Please report it via the “Report an Error” link on the listing page, or email us directly. We investigate and correct real errors promptly — see our Corrections & Updates Policy.
Can I claim my clinic’s listing?
Yes — use the “Claim Listing” button on your profile card to request ownership and add details like hours, photos, and a direct booking link.
About Reviews & Ratings
Who can leave a review?
Any site visitor can leave a rating and review on a listing page. Reviews reflect individual opinions, not an endorsement by VeterinaryGuide.com.
Can a review be removed?
We remove reviews that violate our Community Guidelines (e.g., spam, harassment, or clearly false claims). Contact us with the listing URL and details if you believe a review should be reviewed.
