Corrections & Updates Policy

Because VeterinaryGuide.com publishes licensing data and educational content that can change over time, we maintain a clear process for corrections and updates.

Directory Corrections

If a directory listing is reported as outdated or incorrect (e.g., a license has lapsed, a clinic has relocated, or a name is misspelled relative to the official record), we:

  1. Review the report against the original government source.
  2. Re-verify the current status directly with the licensing authority’s public register where possible.
  3. Update or remove the listing promptly once the correction is confirmed.

Article Corrections

For educational articles, factual errors reported to us are reviewed against reliable veterinary and animal-health information and corrected as soon as the error is confirmed. Minor corrections (typos, formatting) are made without special notation; substantive factual corrections may include an editorial note where appropriate.

How to Report an Error

Use the “Report an Error” link on the relevant page, or email us directly at [email protected] with the page URL and a description of the issue.

Our Response Standard

We aim to acknowledge correction reports within a few business days and resolve confirmed errors as quickly as verification allows. We do not remove accurate information just because a listed professional or clinic requests it — removal or correction is based on whether the listing matches the real, official source, not on preference.
